Healing the Hurt: A Puppy’s Journey to Recovery Through Love and Care

When a neglected pup was found with a hairband tightly wrapped around her snout, she was brought to a shelter that doesn’t euthanize animals.

The hairband was deeply embedded, reaching all the way to the bone, resulting in substantial swelling and swelling up her small face to three times its normal size.

The Cincinnati Animal CARE center in the US gave her immediate medical attention, taking out the hairband and stitching up the large wound. The employees at the shelter decided to name her Tiffany in honor of their beloved pop artist from the 80s.

It is believed that the hairband was used to control the puppy’s barking, similar to how zip ties are often used. The shocking extent of the abuse was brought to light in the distressing posts shared by the animal center on Facebook.

The rescue team praised Tiffany for how well she handled the emergency situation and noted that she stayed overnight with one of the medical staff members. An update on Tiffany’s condition mentioned that she is recovering well, maintaining a good appetite and staying hydrated. The kind Good Samaritan who discovered her is currently looking after her.

Tiffany’s inflammation has significantly reduced, and she is currently recovering with her face sutured up. Cincinnati Animal CARE is actively investigating Tiffany’s case and looking for any information regarding her abuser. PETA is also offering a reward for anyone who can provide details that lead to an arrest. If you have any information about the incident, please contact the Hamilton County Dog Wardens at 513-541-7387.
