Once upon a time, there was a charming pooch named Woody who embarked on a paw-some journey in pursuit of a forever home. Unfortunately, Woody’s puppyhood was tinged with a hint of sadness as it remained unfinished.
According to SNARR Animal Rescue, when Woody was just five weeks old, he was unfortunately attacked by another dog. The poor pup had to rely on self-medication as he did not receive proper veterinary attention during this time. To make matters worse, Woody’s owner decided to tie him up and abandon him outside. Thankfully, SNARR came to the rescue and saved Woody from his dire situation.
For the next six weeks, Woody was left all alone, surviving solely on the kindness of compassionate neighbors who brought him food. It wasn’t until SNARR discovered him that he was finally given the care and attention he deserved. It was revealed that Woody’s family had moved away, callously leaving him behind without a second thought. SNARR made the decision to intervene and remove Woody from this loveless environment.
Despite the hardships he had endured, Woody surprisingly remained in good health. However, due to the previous attack, his face was left distorted. Nonetheless, this unique appearance did not bother the people at SNARR; on the contrary, it only served to make them love Woody even more.
His saviors hold immense affection for him, not solely because of his looks, but also because they discovered that the Pit Bull has an affectionate nature. Upon reaching his temporary abode, Woody’s new mother was livid. Bond’s adoptive mother, Jamie, recalls, “The day we brought Woody home, I had a fever. Somehow, the perceptive dog sensed something amiss and remained faithfully by my side throughout the day.” We spent a whole afternoon together on the comfortable couch. Woody has become my constant companion, reassuring my safety and providing protection. When we settle down for the night, he loves to snuggle next to me and gently rub his head against my chest.”
Meet Woody, an adorable 8-month-old pup who is ready to bring joy into someone’s life. Despite his cleft nose, Woody is a vibrant and lovable dog in search of his forever home. SNARR, an organization dedicated to finding the perfect homes for dogs like Woody, is committed to ensuring that he gets the love and care he deserves.
Described as a “hottie,” Woody may require a little extra attention and training, but his playful nature makes him a delightful companion. However, it’s important to note that Woody isn’t fond of cats and would thrive in a home without them. SNARR also suggests that he may be more comfortable in a household with female owners.
If you’re looking for a new addition to your family and are ready to provide Woody with a loving home, SNARR is here to assist in making a fulfilling match. Let’s give Woody the greatest home possible and shower him with the care and affection he deserves.
Woody is currently growing up alongside four other heifers and is thriving remarkably. He enjoys the company of children, yet we feel that having older canine companions (aged 10 years or more) would be best for him. Although he is not inherently aggressive towards anyone or anything, his large size can lead to occasional episodes of anger and jumping, which is why we recommend the company of larger dogs. If you are keen on adopting Woody and meet the criteria, please don’t hesitate to complete an application on the SNARR Northwest website.
