Many people believe in the idea that there is a perfect person out there to assist each of us in our lives. Although it’s not always guaranteed, sometimes we have to endure tough situations in order to put years of abuse behind us.
Kathy, a pooch that was left behind in Los Nevados National Park in Colombia, found herself in a situation similar to abandonment. Her furry body was tied up between some shrubs, presumably to prevent her from returning.
It may seem like a sad ending based on previous cases, but there is a glimmer of hope with Daniel Leandro. He bravely sheltered dogs who were enduring freezing temperatures and non-stop rain for three whole days.
I couldn’t bear the pain and cried as I struggled to carry her for over two hours on the road to reach my truck. Despite the difficulty, I managed to take her to the vet where she received a shot and medication. Although it took her more than ten days to recover, she still couldn’t walk properly, but seeing the happiness on her face was worth it all.
Daniel shared several photos that illustrate the path he had to follow to ensure Kathy’s safety. He also took this opportunity to deliver a positive message about responsible pet care and ownership.
If you decide to have a small pet, make sure to love and care for it with all your heart, as they are one of the most appreciative creatures on earth. Never abandon them because they have emotions and can feel the pain of being left behind.
Within a few minutes, we achieved a completely different result, thanks to Daniel. His help enabled a dog to recover from a near-death experience and gave it a new lease on life. Before getting a pet, it is important to give careful thought to the decision as animals should never be abandoned, let alone put in such a dire situation.
